GUS has a HOME!

Chip and his brother Thomas have decided on GUS! So now we have

1. Sheri and Chad Hanna
2.  Breeder
3.  Chip Seal (Gus)
4. Julie Cooper (Ethyl/Tori)
5. Available
6. Available
7. Available

No more nursing!

I believe due to the development of teeth, Bradie has stopped nursing - and I dont blame her! (Ouch!)  My mom called the vet yesterday and he said as long as the puppies are still sleeping after eating their dog food and not crying all the time, there is no reason to worry about her lack of nursing.  So, it looks like we are on our way to being weaned.  However, they do still nurse at night and attack poor Bradie when she comes in to check on them...o the woes of being a mother! Have a wonderful day and enjoy the sunshine - we never see it anymore!

Puppy Progress

I never imaged the puppies would be so grown up!  They are running, wrestling, biting, barking and growling...it is amazing.  They are getting so big...right now they are laying on the back patio in the sun enjoying this beautiful day.  They all have teeth now...mainly in the front, they are teeny tiny and very sharp.

We had ALOT of visitors this weekend.  Chip came by and has narrowed down his search to Lucy and Gus.  And, we sold another one!! Ethyl the biggest of the bunch has found a home with Julie Cooper and has been renamed Tori.

In the past two days I feel like they have all developed so much,  Ethyl is still the biggest of the bunch but all of the others are catching up quickly.  OP is right behind Ethyl in the size race...CoCo is still dead last.  Although she is the smallest in size she is the quickest in development...first to open her eyes and to walk.  It is so fun to watch their personalities develop.

OP - bless his heart, is so out numbered he needs all the attention he can get.  He LOVES to be held and is the first to greet you at the gate when you walk in the room.
CoCo- she is a little fire ball...she is so small but full of energy and spunk.
Ethyl (Tori) - She is a BEAUTIFUL puppy - she has a very square head like a lab - She does, however, throw around her weight a lot. She definately wants to be the Alpha female, she is very funny to watch!
Mo - little "Mo" is sooo curious, she is always the first one to escape from the gate and explore new territory.  She is definately the last on the development train but she has caught up with everyone on walking and she is on the move...
Lucy - She is a DOLL her personality has really come through in the past two days...she runs and pounces on all of her brothers and sisters, she seems to always have someone's ear in her mouth.
GUS - she is SOOOOOO SWEET.  She just chills...if you want to know which one is Gus it is most likely the one just hanging out.  She never makes a fuss - I think she is the favorite sister.
Vivian - She is adorable...she has a very relaxed personality as well.  She has discovered her voice and will bark every now and then.  She also likes to get down in the puppy play stance ( you know what I am talking about, front of the body down and the hind end sticking straight up in the air.)

For now these are their personalities...which I have learned not to count on them to be the same the next time I see them.  With new experiences and development they constantly change.

I have taken a lot of photos and will hopefully get them uploaded tonight for everyone to see.  Just get ready for puppies and pumpkins...You have to take seasonal pictures!! ha ha I am officially the crazy dog lady.

O and by the way...this plan of mine about not keeping one - out the window, one of those pups will DEFINATELY be coming back to Fort Worth with me! (there is a good chance it will be "MO")

We learned to PLAY!

Now that all my little noodles are mobile, they seem to LOVE getting out of their swimming pool...the floor of their room is now covered in a tarp, plastic and then a sheet to TRY to protect our new wood floors from lots of puppy passings...If you know what I mean.  With this new found freedom, we have learned that chewing on and wrestling with each other is so much fun!  Here are some pics...

Hey OP!

I can not wait for the weekend when I get to see all the babies!! I will post individual pics and information on their individual personalities!

Eating real food...then sleeping in real food!

We eat...

And then we sleep...

Puppy Chow!

All of the little babies are growing sooooo fast! It is amazing/sad to see how fast they grow!  Today they will get their first taste of real dog food...well kind of.  You mix puppy food with a milk substitute put it in a pan and let them have at it!  They are weighing in between 2 and 3 pounds! My mom says when they nurse, their combined size is as big as Bradie...i am sure she is ready for a break! My mom is going to take plenty of photos and I will post them as soon as I can!

Outside Adventures

Thought you would all love to see the pups experiencing the outdoors for the first time!!

and we are walking!

Puppy LOVE

I feel like there is so much to tell!  First, ALL 7 puppies have opend their eyes!!!  My mom and dad went in their room this morning to find them all sitting up growling and playing with each other for the first time! My dad was in shock - he said literally overnight they turned into real puppies! I could hear them barking and growling in the background....so cute! Second, they took Bradie to the vet and he has cleared her of any bacterial infections...yay! Hopefully she will feel better soon.  The Vet also recommended the puppies be taken outside and stimulated more to enhance their development.  After a long day of watching a little UT football (Go HORNS!) and playing outside they were exhausted! Here is a photo my mom took later, they are so sweet!

Mo and OP
Mims and I have been working on planning the Puppies and Proseco Party for the week of Thanksgiving.  Maybe that Monday or Tuesday - we have to call Claudia and see when would be best for her! I can not wait for all of my friends to meet my little noodles...More information will come! Enjoy your week!
