Urban Fort Worth

I took this while walking my two pups...This is in the Berkeley neighborhood in Fort Worth, Texas.  I think it is so peaceful.

Tennis Ball

Bradie is manic about squeaky toys and balls...so naturally when she realized that this ball squeaked it was all down hill.  I let her play with it for a good hour until she physically could not walk anymore, resulting in me eventually having to physically carry her out of the dog park (insert embarrassment)....this is the ball:

Pryor Ellis Hampy

Ok,  So I have never photographed a baby before.  This is one of the most challenging photo shoots I have ever experiences and one of the most fun!! I had such a great time with his mom Audrey (my roommates sister) and he is just he most perfect subject!!! The lighting was not the best, it was very overcast outside and it was a little too cold and wet to subject him to the elements!! I hope you enjoy these I think he is just SOOOO HANDSOME and ADORABLE!!

aaahhh I just love this little guy!!! I hope you enjoy the pics... I will upload more when I get them edited!

One photo every day...

ok here it comes...my lack of time and creativity from my constant day to day activities is making me call it quits with this one photo every day.  I don't know how people do it?  I am going to continue to make a conscious effort to take a lot more photos but I could not lie to those of you who are following this and pretend I took each picture I post on the day I posted it.  (exhausted yet?)  I will however continue to post pictures as often as I can! I have a few more to post from the Rodeo Parade, I will post them soon!  I am not looking at this as a failure just as a project suspended for the essence of time.  I hope those of you , if there is anyone, who are following will continue to check in from time to time! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are enjoying the fabulous weather!

January 13, 2010:  We have a wonderful art program at All Saints' the school where I work.  This is part of a painting done by one of our students.

January 12, 2010

January 12, 2010:  Ok here comes the confession....taking a new picture every day is harder than I thought it would be.  I spent the afternoon after work walking my dogs and playing with them in the park - and I forgot to bring my camera.  So, once again I am cheating ... I mean at least these are all my pictures and I am confessing my deadly photo sins.  Both of my parents went to the University of Texas and since my Dad is impossible to shop for (and his office is looking a little drab) I thought I would try to get a picture of Bevo for him.  So, I am in Austin for an engagement party (congratulations Blair and Andrew) and I thought I would just go to the UT campus and take one.  Well, I proved to be an ignorant FROG ( I graduated for TCU) they don't keep Bevo on campus, which makes perfect since, they keep him on a ranch.  Defeated, I resorted to the WONDERFUL Fort Worth STOCKYARDS - where you can go and watch the daily cattle drive at 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. weather permitting - and walked right up to the longhorn pen and took lots of pictures!! Fort Worth always pulls through for me in the end...I feel like I am now officially obsessed with this place, it is close to being home (don't worry mom, home is where the heart is and my heart is with my family in Tyler)  Sorry I went on so long - enjoy the pic!

January 11, 2010

January 11, 2010:  What a beautiful day, the temperature decided to rise above 50 degrees the sun was out and I was on my way to boot camp (insert feelings of dread) when I noticed the sun bouncing off of down town Fort Worth.  Sometimes I resent the giant buildings and miles and miles of concrete (even though it is nothing compared to some parts of the world) but then somehow they manage to be pretty - Thank you God for the beautiful sunset! And, for allowing me to live through yet another hour of pure torture.

January 10, 2010

January 10, 2010:  Today O.P. was lucky enough to meet aunt CoCo(in picture above) and her new friends Brennan and Isabella!  I had a wonderful day filled with Kincaids cheeseburgers (and no that is not on my boot camp diet, but it was Sunday - you deserve wonderful things on Sunday) and seeing Leap Year with Coco and her family.  After neglecting my poor animals all day long I figured they were in need of a good play date!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

January 9, 2010

January 9, 2010: O.P is all up to date on his shots and is officially allowed to go to the dog park.  I braced the FREEZING weather and was a good dog mom and took them to the Fort Worth dog park.  O.P. was a little timid at first but warmed up quickly! They both had a great time and are currently passed out on my floor.

January 8, 2010

January 8, 2010:  Since the cold weather is making it a little miserable to get out and about, Ashley and Kern came over and we had a girls night in with a pasta dinner, good movies and tabloid magazines.  LOVED IT! O and did I mention Margo came over for a play date.

January 7, 2010

January 7, 2010:  An Arctic blast came through Fort Worth, it has not been this cold in over a decade. Miserable...that's how cold it is - but fun too!!!

January 6, 2010

January 6, 2010:  Ok I am cheating a little bit, but boot camp is BRUTAL and I was just too tired to get creative...I did take this picture but it was a little while ago, anyway - ENJOY a beautiful Fort Worth sunset.

January 5, 2010

January 5, 2010:  Sometimes the most inanimate objects prove to be the most fun.  I love the look of this old wood on a house I passed on my walk this afternoon with Bradie and O.P. Can't you see this blown up big over a mantle in a ranch house?  (it could just be me...haha)

January 4, 2010

January 4, 2010:  Black pants, shorts, two long sleeve shirts, wind proof vest and gloves....
30 degrees.  Ellen (the bride to be) and I started bootcamp tonight.  It was miserable, we both almost threw up and it was so cold by the end of the night I had absolutely no feeling in my toes or my nose.  After feeling like I had been beat with  a baseball bat on all parts of my body we proceeded to go to Chimy's to eat tacos and drink alcohol and watch TCU LOOSE.  All in all it was a great day.  O, and did I mention it was my first day back at work too.

New Years Resolution: Be Positive, I will be loosing weight and getting toned and I got to spend good quality time with good friends! I LOVE MY LIFE!
Next year TCU, Next Year.

New Years present from Jack....the cat.

From up on the roof top there arose such a clatter.  How about, from out on the front porch there arose such a clatter (a couple of days late and not as much fun as reindeer).  Here is what Jack thought of as the perfect new years gift...(the following shots are a little blurry because I was shamelessly hiding being the door and taking these through the window)

This is after he had a little game of chase with the mouse on the front porch

Being a big CHICKEN and just sitting there next to it!

This would be Jack (in a change of position) just looking longingly at the stupid mouse and more than likely loving the fact that I am taking his picture.
If you look closely you can see the mouse blurred out in the white on the window sill in the center of the picture.

And this is the picture of the mouse...in mid air jumping at my chicken of a cat's face and then running off in the opposite direction. Way to go Jack.
If you look you can see the mouse in the air (top left of the pic) and then Jacks paw to the right of the mouse and a little bit of wisker in there too....so pathetic.

Yes, the mouse got away.

Documenting 2010 in pictures...

New Years day...my first meal of 2010 always includes black eyed peas, GOOD LUCK to everyone in the new year!

My friend Kristin Kern and I are going to try to document the year of 2010 with one picture each day. (we will see how long this lasts) I will try to take a picture that wraps up my day in one image...the next two images are from the 2nd and the 3rd...I think it is pretty apparent what I have been doing.

January 2, 2010:  My first day back to Fort Worth was spent trying to help O.P. adjust to his new home...I think he is doing pretty well (notice the bone).

January 3, 2010:  This is the last day of Christmas vacation...sad.  I head back to work tomorrow and since I will be spending all day away from my pups I devoted the day to them. We went on a long walk (as long as O.P. could hang in there) and then played fetch all afternoon.  This is Bradie ready and waiting for another round of fetch out in the courtyard.

I hope everyone is blessed in the new year and we all take the time to enjoy the little things our lives have to offer and just be...happy.  Now it is time for dinner, movie and bed- yay for work!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas from the Hanna family...

The Hanna puppies being perfect...

Christmas eve we walked into the kitchen to discover Vivian and O.P. being the perfect Christmas puppies...

I also got a self portrait of all the dogs over the break as well....
