Learning Lessons....

Lesson of the Day: ALWAYS WAKE UP TO A CRYING PUPPY IN HIS KENNEL.
I woke this wonderful Friday, February 26 morning - a little groggy after waking up to O.P. crying (what I thought was for no reason) in his kennel several times through out the night....but OOOO NOOO - I was WRONG.  For those of you who don't know me, I am NOT a morning person (take my daily moodiness and multiply it by 1,000 - I usually do not utter a word until a good hour after I awake) so I go piddling over to O.P.'s kennel and let him out, mind u it is still dark in my room.  I thought I smelled something bad, but one thing I have learned from this little male dog is that he has a perpetual GAS problem so I did not think a thing about it.  I walk out into the hall of my apartment and realize that not only is O.P. COVERED in poop but is pooping all the way down the hall.  I wish u could see the shock/anger/i am a terrible mother/disgusted/a little tickled look that washed over my face.  After about 10 minutes of "outside time"  I got back up to discover that he did not just start pooping again in the hall but all the way out of my apartment...anger sets in ( o did I mention I am already late for work?)  I start the bath, put him in (it instantly turns brown), try to get him wet - I dont know if u have ever seen him but he has ALOT of hair that does not get wet easily - and start the shampooing (yes, with my bare hands) After a good bath and towel dry the little man sat in complete embarressment/fear of getting in trouble without a peep ,poor little guy ( on a typical morning he is wrestling with his mother, much to the joy of the people who live below me- sorry!) I put the towels in the washer cleaned out the kennel, shut him in the bathroom and ran off to work.  Now, lets pray the bathroom is clean and the doors are unscratched when I get home - Thank God for Joe T Garcias tonight...Margaritas HERE I COME!
